Guided day tour · Hotel pickup in Jerusalem
A guide takes you from your Jerusalem hotel to ancient Jericho, up the Mount of Temptation by cable car and to the baptism site on the Jordan River, then to the Dead Sea for a float. Pick it if the biblical sites of the Jordan Valley pull you more than Masada.

This is the Jordan Valley version of the day, and one of the few that includes everything at the gates. The listing includes hotel pickup and drop-off, a guide, air-conditioned transport and the entrance fees. Food, drinks and tips are extra. It has 4.7 stars, but from only 14 reviews, so there is less to go on than for the bigger tours.
Jericho comes first. The listing names Tel es-Sultan, the ancient city with a settlement going back to 9000 BC and its Neolithic tower, which UNESCO listed in 2023, along with the sycamore tree tied to Zacchaeus and Elisha's Spring, which has watered the city for thousands of years. A cable car then lifts you up the Mount of Temptation to the Greek Orthodox monastery clinging to the cliff. Its 1,330 m line is recognized by Guinness World Records as the longest cable car below sea level. Next is the Jordan River, at the place where John is said to have baptized Jesus, and the day ends floating in the Dead Sea.
Groups run up to 40, and the tour is not suitable for children under 4 or wheelchair users. Guests name Dan and Daniel and say the trip was well organized. Bring your passport. Free cancellation up to 24 hours before.

Travel advice changes, so check your own government's before you go. The US State Department rates Israel Level 3, "Reconsider travel", in an update of 23 October 2026; its Level 4 areas are the north, the area near Gaza and the Egyptian border, and the alert does not mention the Dead Sea. The UK Foreign Office, in advice updated 22 July 2026, advises against all but essential travel to the West Bank except East Jerusalem, Bethlehem, Ramallah, Jericho and all areas south of Jericho, which covers the Dead Sea road. This tour cancels free up to 24 hours before.
